Buongiorno from Rome, Georgia...? You read that correctly. Aventine, a farm-to-table restaurant located in Rome, Georgia, has an old-meets-new vibe. The restaurant's interior design is executed in the most tasteful and elegant way. From a custom leather and striped banquette to their Instagram-ready exterior, there are so many design elements to love about Aventine. But if we had to choose, these would be our top three.
1. Pretty Palette

Leather, rustic wood, blue wainscoting, marble, steel, concrete—the gang’s all here. Summer WIlliams of Summer Williams Design created a classic palette for this European-inspired restaurant. Her design centers around a smorgasbord of textures, all done in rich, neutral tones. Warm taupes and camels perfectly pair with cool blue and glossy black steel. Neutral? Yes. Boring? Heck no! 2. Mix of Old and New

An expert mix of old and new proves to be a recipe for success for Aventine. Williams curated a mix of heritage wood pieces like rustic wood farm tables mixed with more industrial pieces like the factory lighting above the bar. Combined, these pieces offer character, charm, and contrast. We’re biased, but our favorite contrast can be found in the seating. Williams opted for the ultimate industrial restaurant barstool—the Reece collection—finishing it in a glossy, ink black frame, natural wood shell, and camel leather upholstered seat and back. Reece’s modern design is a perfect counterpoint to the classic black Bentwood chairs and armchairs used throughout the dining area.
3. Variety of Seating

Offering guests a variety of seating options not only accommodates different group sizes, but offers guests different types of interactions and experiences. In Aventine, Williams chose something we don’t see too often—a quasi communal banquette that centers the space. Along with chairs, barstools, and communal tables, the banquette stands apart as a design feature and a place for casual aperitifs and conversations. Guests can of course opt for a drink at the bar or table, but the banquette paired with simple marble pedestal tables offers a different kind of casual and intimate experience.
