Founded by two industry vets, Kyle Glanville and Charles Babinski, Go Get Em Tiger (GGET) is on a mission to change the way we interact with coffee. In just a few short years, GGET has grown from a small pop-up coffee experience inside of the now legendary Sqirl Cafe, to one of LA's most popular modern coffee brands.
Now with five locations, Lachmont, Los Feliz, Highland Park, The Arts District, and most recently The Row, GGET brings their friendly, approachable brand to life with quirky graphics, genius branding, sun drenched interiors, and cute, colorful furniture (we’re admittedly biased with that last one).
With GGET, Glanville and Babinski intentionally set out to break the mold of pretentious, austere coffee shops, instead creating high-quality, delicious coffee in a welcoming and comfortable environment.
Their spaces exude joy, and the newest GGET location at The Row in downtown LA is no exception. Once inside, you’ll dance through layers of neutral colors and natural finishes complemented by splashes of color. White walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a spacious interior act as the perfect blank canvas. The in-house design team used the furniture, merchandise, and art to bring in the punchy colors needed to separate GGET from their Kinfolk-inspired counterparts and to create a space that feels approachable, youthful, and uplifting.
Custom built tables and benches feature exaggerated proportions and rounded details in a glossy white and a natural wood finish. They’re masterfully paired with colorful modern chairs, in honey yellow, dusty blue, and salmon orange. The rolling curves of the metal chairs mirror the roundness of the millwork.
In an effort to create dialogue between the interior and exterior of the cafe, the modern chairs and stools were used in both settings. Thanks to California’s temperate climate and a massive covered patio, the furniture is protected from harsh elements. The candy-colored frames pop against the textured cement walls.
Aside from a refreshing interior, they also made major innovative changes to the way they interact with customers inside the cafe. Instead of a single queue, GGET takes a less formal approach to the ordering process. Customers can walk up to the counter and order directly from any of the talented baristas working, similar to how you’d order a beer at your favorite bar. It’s small changes like that that they brand credits its success to.
Their innovative approach to customer service and the refreshingly adorable interiors have worked in harmony to create a brand experience that is memorable, interesting, and friendly. We’re excited to see where GGET goes next and we’re confident that they’ll continue to impress.
