We're excited to debut our newest collaboration with the Australian brand, Dowel Jones. Meet Sir Burly, the modern commercial barstool with a playful personality and nearly unlimited personalization options.
It’s the whimsical, playful nature of the stool’s design that defines the collection. Sir Burly was initially conceived as furniture for a playground setting. The soft curves and exaggerated steel tubes result in an almost anthropomorphic form. The over-sized tube dimensions act as a caricature of a traditional modern barstool. Comprised of 2” steel tubing and a solid white oak seat, Sir Burly is available in both bar and counter height variations. The rounded details of the stool show the softer side of industrial design and deliver an undeniable cute factor.

Founded by Adam Lynch and Dale Hardiman in 2014, Dowel Jones has quickly garnered recognition as one of the most exciting brands on the global design scene. Their talent for stripping everyday products down to their basics has resulted in an ever-growing range of fun and functional minimalist pieces that sit beautifully in any modern setting.
The Sir Burly collection is now available to the North American market, and is made-to-order in our Michigan manufacturing facility. The collection is available in wide range of colors and finishes (30 standard powder coat colors, 150 premium powder coat colors, and a white oak seat).
